Exercise is good

At Scarab we understand that investing in a safety light for your dog must represent good value and offer longevity with a suite of features that enhance your daily regime. Being rechargeable, you save a lot of money over the lifetime of the product compared to costly replacement battery versions. We know that walks are probably the most exciting event in your dog’s life next to eating, therefore we have packed as much into Scarab as is possible to ensure you get the best performing canine safety light possible.

Technology

Our customers really love the “bulb” effect the lens gives in that it is the same light output at the side of the lens as it is at the top, clever technology indeed. You can see in the image how the dial part of the lens section is lit by the power of the LED chip inside.

Scarab uses every bit of the lens to ensure your dogs safety making them visible from any angle. In safety terms it maximises awareness that you and your dog are present, premium safety when you are outside in low light and the dark!

Because Scarab flashes it also heightens your dogs location, on or off the lead this is a valuable feature. If you have more than one dog or walk in groups, you can easily identify your dog when off the lead by the LED colour setting or using the UNO, by changing the RED light modes. Scarab stands out that is for sure.

Something else to consider is the duration of the rechargeable battery, set on the minimum (walking) setting, whilst it can be seen from 600m (TRIO) 300m (UNO), they will run for 5 days continuously before you need to give it a charge, not bad for something so small.

Out There

In the demonstration video you can see both Archie and Max wearing Scarab. Having such a lively puppy, Archie belts around the fields and forests, through hedges and ditches and he’s in and out of the water, yet at all times he can be seen in the failing light as he sports his Scarab. Max is far more reserved and senior and stays on the paths and walkways but still very visible to oncomers. Its the first thing other dog owners ask when they see Scarab, “that’s amazing, where did you buy that dog light?”.

Research

Our study into dog owners habits shows that they tend to exercise their dogs for longer when the nights and mornings are lighter, with Scarab this not only enhances your walk but hopefully gets you out there longer in the less appealing environment of the dark and although we all know how nice a brisk walk is, we aim to allow you to make it longer and safer with a Scarab, better for you and better for your dog.
